Manchester United Football Club are a global brand capable of luring in the best players from all corners of the world. However, over the last few years that hasn’t been the case. Now, without the lack of Champions League football, it feels as though we’re back on the map.
That’s down solely to Jose Mourinho, who has that ability to attract world class players on the back of his name. The latest man linked with a move to Old Trafford is Paul Pogba.
United could have just been given a massive pointer that the world class Frenchman could be on his way to Old Trafford during this window – and it’s down to Edward Woodward.
The BBC say that although Woodward will join the tour at some point, he could well be off conducting major transfer business – ie negotiating a move for Paul Pogba.
I wouldn’t be counting my chickens just yet. Remember a couple of years ago when Woodward left Australia to conduct some ‘urgent transfer business’? Nothing actually happened…
