Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal is known as a meticulous planner, with the gaffer clearly intent on getting his summer transfer business done as early as possible without it affecting the current members of the squad.
The club were forced into pushing the Memphis Depay deal in earlier than they’d have liked, but its nice to know that we can wrap up deals in a quick and precise manner.
According to Andy Mitten’s latest piece for ESPN, United have another couple of deals all done and dusted, and the club are waiting for Louis van Gaal to give the green light to get those deals officially confirmed.
This attitude towards transfers is an excellent one, and its the complete opposite to David Moyes’ summer transfer window in which we waited until deadline day to bring just Marouane Fellaini to the club.
These two players who we’ve reportedly wrapped up deals for could be anyone’s guess, but i’d imagine one of them is Ilkay Gundogan, and the other a tossup between Mats Hummels and Nathaniel Clyne. All of which will greatly improve the current squad.
