Man Utd have ‘tentative agreement’ to sign world class defender

Manchester United’s defensive record has been much-improved over the past few games, looking much more solid with Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo all contributing. Daley Blind’s addition to the back line has certainly helped out too, as his composed personality seems to have rubbed off.

However its clear we still need an experienced centre-back to come in and lead from the back whilst talking the younger lads through the games.

According to The Sunday World, Manchester United have a ‘tentative agreement’ with Borussia Dortmund to bring Mats Hummels to Old Trafford in the summer.

The 26-year old is reportedly becoming fed up with life in Germany, and is seeking a change. There is no doubt that he’d be a superb signing, and his ability to pass out from the back as well as his solidity in defence would be a great addition.

Would Hummels be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
