Man Utd haven’t given up hope on signing German superstar

Manchester United’s intentions to lure huge names to Old Trafford are clear, with the club trying their hardest to improve our starting line-up ahead of the return to the Champions League next month.

One name United have been linked with is Thomas Muller, and its clear that United haven’t given up on signing him, and according to the Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein, Edward Woodward isn’t taking no for an answer.

Honigstein told talkSPORT: “Bayern Munich consider him not for sale and an intrinsic part of the team. He is a on a very long contract. But United tried last year and have tried again.

“There is a suggestion in Munich that Ed Woodward will try to meet one of the Bayern officials to see if may there is a possibility, but I think it is very unlikely that they make that deal right now.

“The figure being banded round is about £120million. That includes the wages on a five-year deal, so is maybe not as impressive when you break it down. United haven’t quite given up yet, but there will come a point where they will feel it’s not going to happen.”

It would certainly be massive if Manchester United can lure a player of his quality through the Old Trafford doors. Thomas Muller is a born winner and his win at all costs attitude would be infectious on the first-team squad.
