Man Utd in ‘advanced talks’ over £18million man

Manchester United could be about to make their second signing of the summer, without the transfer window not officially opening for another month. According to the Sunday Times, United are in advanced talks with Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne.

Clyne, 24, is set to move to United in a deal worth around £18million. This club haven’t had a regular starting right-back since Gary Neville, with plenty of options tried there including the likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and this season, Antonio Valencia.

Stability in a key area of the field is an absolute must, and signing Clyne would go a long way to improving our back line, as well as providing another threat going forward.

This is a deal that could well be completed before the end of the season, as Ronald Koeman has given Clyne just ten days to let the club know about his future plans.

Would Clyne be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
