Everyone became absolutely delight when Bastian Schweinsteiger signed on the dotted line just twelve months ago, and his quality really shown on the pitch in the first half of his debut season. However, injuries seemingly ruined him from February onwards, and now it doesn’t look good for him.
The 32-year-old hasn’t made any of Mourinho’s match day squads recently, and couldn’t even get a spot in the squad for United’s game out in Sweden whilst in pre-season.
Despite that, Bastian Schweinsteiger will stay at Manchester United if reports are to be believed. Although he knows that a lack of game time looks extremely likely.
Sport1 reckon that Schweinsteiger wants to fight for his place, but honestly, a move away may be in the best interests of his career. Jose Mourinho’s mind will always be a tough one to change, and performances in the Europa League will even be hard to come by.
At the end of the day, it’s ultimately his decision, and if he wants to stay then I admire his attitude but I’d certainly question his decision making.
