Man Utd near move for Schweinsteiger claims reliable source

Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing up some help for Michael Carrick in terms of the defensive midfielder role, and according to the Sunday People, Louis van Gaal is readying a £7.5million move to land Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich.

The 30-year old has been linked with an Old Trafford move on numerous occasions, and he is a player who’d be welcome at most teams in world football despite nearing the latter years of his career.

He’d certainly give the starting line-up some much-needed experience, and a duo of he and Michael Carrick in the middle of the park would be the perfect blend of mobility and passing ability.

Steve Bates has been quite reliable when it comes to United news recently, and the Sunday People aren’t a paper who’ll publish nonsense stories just for the traffic to come through their website, so I personally think there could be something in this deal.

Would Schweinsteiger be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

Last June (2014), we were told by the Mail, Sun, Independent
and Sunday Express, that LvG had made Schweinsteiger his top target. His age
also varied from 29 to 31, depending on which paper you read. Half way through
this saga, the Express suddenly decided that it was Fabregas who was LvG`s top
target. On June 13th last year, The Manchester Evening News stated that
Schweinsteiger was NOT on United`s priority list?

Of course, we cannot rely on the Sun or Mirror, because they
were banned last year by Bayern Munich for making discriminatory and personally
insulting headlines about Schweinsteiger, after his tackles against Manchester
    United of all teams!

Despite all of this, Herr Schweinsteiger still wants to play
    in England…..evidently.

LvG has had one of those `Eureka` moments and has now
decided that Schweinsteiger is once again at the top of his wish list. Some
papers are reporting `a reliable source` (à la Sky Sports News) that he has already signed for
varying amount, depending upon who you believe.

Personally, I believe none of them. Not one reliable source
is quoted and it seems that journos are falling over each other to make ever
    more ridiculous claims.
