Man Utd pair cleared to resume training

Manchester United narrowly overcame Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday evening, and that result coupled with the 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool all but sealed our place in the Champions League qualifier for next season.

In that game both Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw were substituted due to injury. Rooney limped off with a thigh problem whereas Luke Shaw took a nasty blow to the head and came off due to concussion.

However according to the Telegraph, the England internationals were cleared to resume to full first-team training today, meaning they can get a full weeks practice in before the huge clash against Arsenal on Sunday.

That means that Jonny Evans won’t have to continue in a left-back role in which his weaknesses were truly exposed, and it means that Wayne Rooney can continue up front rather than risking the wasteful Radamel Falcao or the unfit Robin van Persie.

Should the pair start at the weekend? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
