Manchester United would’ve certainly been hoping for much more of a return from Columbian striker Radamel Falcao this season, with the 29-year old struggling for any kind of form since minute one. Unfortunately a permanent move for El Tigre now looks highly unlikely, and the search for a replacement has begun.
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United are planning a huge £60million bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. It is believed that the United board have been long-term admirers of the 27-year old striker, and enquired about the possibility of signing him back when David Moyes was in charge.
My concern would be that the Uruguayan has a very similar play style to that of Radamel Falcao, and for me we need some pace injected into the side. I’d prefer a move for someone like Alexandre Lacazette who is scoring goals for fun in the French league at the moment.
