Manchester United are known to be looking at potential defensive signings in this current transfer window, and the later name on the list has led to Louis van Gaal being quoted a world record fee if he desires to sign him, according to The Sun.
Marquinhos of PSG is touted as one of the best prospects in the world at the moment, and the Ligue One champions have told United that they’ll have to fork out a huge £112million if they want to sign the 20-year old.
The former Roma man made the switch to Paris eighteen months ago, but regular football hasn’t come his way this season due to the acquisition of David Luiz, hence why the youngster is weighing up a move away from his current club.
No young defender is worth that amount of money, but at the end of the day PSG’s owners are filthy rich so transfer fees don’t matter to them whatsoever. They’d certainly rather keep hold of Marquinhos and not let anyone else get him, hence why they can get away with quoting these ridiculous fees.
