Manchester United are in hot pursuit of several transfer targets this summer, with Louis van Gaal keen to bolster his squad further before the new campaign kicks off – especially given the increased number of games due to United’s return to the Champions League in August.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Nicolas Gaitan to bring him to Old Trafford this summer, with the player extremely interested in moving to a bigger club.
Di Marzio goes on to say that United will now begin to negotiate a fee with Benfica, and it is highly likely that Luis Nani will be used as a makeweight in any potential transfer.
The 27-year old from Buenos Aires has had a fantastic season in Portugal, but for me he isn’t the player Manchester United need.
We have an abundance of talented wingers at the club, including the recently arrived Memphis Depay and Angel di Maria. It seems daft to bring in yet another winger when we have other areas that we need to strengthen in as a priority.
