Man Utd reject initial offer for forgotten winger

Manchester United have a busy transfer window ahead, with Louis van Gaal having only lured Memphis Depay to the club so far. No doubt there are many transfers in the offing, but alongside that the Iron Tulip will be keen to get rid of some deadwood.

One of those players who look to be on their way out is Luis Nani. The Portugal international is a target for the Turkish side Fenerbahce, but their initial offer of £3.5million for the winger has been rejected.

It is thought that United are holding out for closer to £5million, which is still a meagre sum of money considering that the 28-year old only penned a five-year contract just over a year ago.

At the end of the day, the club will be wanting to get his huge wages off the budget, allowing Louis van Gaal to spend that money elsewhere, but you’d imagine if this were a club who were better at selling, Nani would be selling for somewhere closer to £10million.

How much is Nani worth? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
