Man Utd sack club scout after racial slurs on Facebook

Manchester United have sacked one of their club European scouts, after an alleged racial slur on the social media site Facebook. The racist incident has led to a full on investigation inside Old Trafford, and officials have been forced to sack Torben Aakjaer after suspending him earlier yesterday.

The racial abuse is believed to have been aimed at Eastern Europeans, and after a further investigation of his social media profile, his page is believed to contain more than one racist incident.

Its obviously not a nice thing to read, but its great to see how quickly the club have acted upon the matter and removed Aakjaer as a member of staff as soon as they found out he was guilty.

In a game thats as worldwide as football is, there is no place for staff members like him ruining the game, especially in this day and age where the ‘kick racism out of football’ campaign is plastered all over our television screens.
