Man Utd set to face challenge for Nathaniel Clyne signature

Manchester United are almost certainly in the hunt for a new right-back this summer, with Rafael on his way out and Van Gaal seemingly unconvinced by the performances of Antonio Valencia in that position. Their #1 priority is thought to be Nathaniel Clyne, who’s been in good form for Southampton.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United will face stern competition for his signature, in the form of the probable Premier League champions Chelsea. Jose Mourinho has been impressed by Clyne, who is out of contract in just over twelve months time.

The £15million fee being branded about in the press for Clyne could turn out to be an absolute steal, as the England right-back is still only 23-years old and his best years are certainly ahead of him.

Would Clyne be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
