Manchester United and Jose Mourinho could be about to quash a myth about our new manager – before the Premier League season gets underway. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who say United will include two academy products in their squad.
Mourinho takes his team to Wigan Athletic next week for their first pre-season friendly, before the squad jet off for their tour.
The pair who have reportedly been called up to the squad are Axel Tuanzebe and Tyrell Warren, who have been recommended by Nicky Butt to partake in the game.
Now, United’s squad will be severely depleted as the players who have been involved for their countries are highly unlikely to be involved as they’ll be given extra rest.
However, it is a great opportunity for whichever youngsters are given a chance. Axel Tuanzebe is without doubt one of the hottest prospects in the youth academy at the moment, and it will be brilliant for him to get a chance to show exactly what he can do.
