Man Utd star avoids prison sentence

Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo has been embroiled in a prison row for a few years now, but today the Argentine was finally cleared of any wrongdoing for an incident in which he allegedly attacked a neighbour with a bottle.

The 24-year old has struck an out of court settlement with his accusers, meaning that Rojo will no longer face a possible prison sentence. As if he was found to be guilty, he would’ve been required to serve a one-year spell in jail.

Rojo has been in fine form for Manchester United this season, and has arguably been our best summer signing despite being the cheapest – alongside Daley Blind.

Hopefully this settlement will mean he can now solely focus on his football rather than worrying about this issue, and we could well see even better performances from him on the field.

Has Rojo been our best summer signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
