Manchester United have huge plans before the season starts, as Louis van Gaal tries to turn his side into a title-winning one once again. The squad overhaul will contain a few casualties, and one big-name player who could leave Old Trafford this summer is Robin van Persie.
According to several media outlets, the Flying Dutchman is considering leaving United this summer, but he has admitted that the final decision will be in the hands of his wife, Bouchra.
Robin van Persie gave us one of the best seasons ever from a striker at United, as he almost single-handedly guided us to our 20th Premier League title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season as manager.
However, there comes a time when it is best for all involved to move on, and this summer could be the perfect time for Robin to leave.
He isn’t getting any younger, looked rather average last season and injuries clearly have hampered him. A move to a club like Juventus would be perfect to him, whereas United would get a high earner off the wage bill.
