Manchester United took a real gamble when they brought Louis van Gaal in as manager a couple of years ago now, and at this point in time, things aren’t really working out for the Dutchman. However he has received backing from somewhat of an unlikely source.
Javier Hernandez, the man who Louis van Gaal sold for just £8million last summer has said that the under-fire Dutchman is still one of the best in the world.
“He is a really good manager to be honest. He has his own ways like all the managers in the world.” Javier Hernandez said. “LvG can do it but in football, time and results are going to speak about if he is the main man or if he is not.”
“You will not find the new Sir Alex Ferguson in the next 50 or 100 years because he was unique. He was special.”
At the end of the day, we were always going to struggle with life after Sir Alex Ferguson, but I don’t think we all knew just how much. Its a real possibility that Van Gaal could be out of a job this summer, but he has certainly given it his absolute all.
