Man Utd target Schneiderlin prefers Old Trafford move over Arsenal

Manchester United have been linked with a whole host of names over the last month or so, but only one has come to fruition so far, in the form of Memphis Depay. An area that needs considerable work is midfield, and Louis van Gaal must buy at least one proven player in that area.

Morgan Schneiderlin has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and according to the national newspaper journalist Alex Crook, the Frenchman would prefer a move to United over Arsenal this summer.

He goes on to say that Louis van Gaal and Edward Woodward are yet to make any official approach for the 25-year old, but one does look likely in the coming weeks.

The Southampton player would be an astute piece of business by United, but you feel that more would have to follow. Midfield has been an area in which United have been lacking recently, but the signings of Daley Blind and Ander Herrera went some way to filling that hole, but the job is not yet complete and probably two more faces are needed.

Would Schneiderlin be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
