Manchester United’s transfer window seems to be heating up once again, and last week we were linked with a big move for Sergio Ramos. However reports suggested our opening bid was rejected, but fresh rumours today suggest that Louis van Gaal will go in with a second offer for the Spaniard.
The news comes from the Manchester Evening News, who say that the original £28.3million bid from Manchester United was immediately rejected by Real Madrid. However they go on to say that Edward Woodward and co. are readying a second offer for the 29-year old.
Sergio Ramos would be an ideal singing. He’d bring that passion, experience and goal threat that United’s defenders have lacked since the departure of Nemanja Vidic.
He would certainly cost a fair amount of cash, but it’d definitely prove its weight in gold next season, as we need that regularity at the heart of our defence.
