Man Utd to revive interest in Serie A star

Manchester United have reignited their interest in AS Roma’s star midfielder, Miralem Pjanic, with the midfielder set to hold talks with his current club about his future over the next few weeks. The Mirror reckon United are in pole position to sign him.

The club shown an interest in the Bosnia and Herzegovinian midfielder last summer, but Pjanic opted to sign a new deal in the Serie A, tying him down to the club until 2018.

That said, if anyone were to swoop for Pjanic, Roma would certainly sell the 25-year old, but he’d certainly cost a pretty penny.

Pjanic is the perfect box-to-box midfielder who doesn’t stop running from minute one. He’d fit Van Gaal’s high-pressing game very well, and he has the ability to score goals from the midfield as well.

I’d like to see him at the club, especially with the increased games that we’ll have to play next season if we make it into the Champions League, which at the moment, is looking likely.

Would Pjanic be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
