Man Utd top scorer ruled out of action for at least a month

Manchester United could be without the services of star striker Robin van Persie for the next four Premier League games, as well as the visit of Arsenal to Old Trafford. According to the Sun, our top goalscorer with ten goals, has suffered ankle ligament damage and will be sidelined for at least a month.

The 31-year old suffered the injury late on in the game against Swansea, but struggled on as all three subs had already been used by Van Gaal.

This injury is a huge blow, as it leaves United with just two fit strikers – Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao, who have both been struggling for goals recently.

This could be a pivotal factor in United’s hunt for a spot in the top four, with Van Gaal struggling to get the best out of his players of late. Robin van Persie himself wasn’t in the great of form, but at least he kept scoring goals.
