Manchester United Football Club have made a solid start to the season, and life under Jose Mourinho is looking pretty good despite derby day defeat. Our new manager is ruthless, and once his mind is made up, it rarely changes; that seems to be the case again here.
Today, the club released their quarterly figures, including becoming the first team to earn over £500million over that period. However, the board have decided to write off Bastian Schweinsteiger’s £6.7million transfer fee completely off, meaning they’ve given up on the German midfielder.
It certainly doesn’t bode well for the World Cup winner, who has said that he’ll be ready for the team if they so need him. Schweinsteiger didn’t want to move on, and he’ll now likely know that he won’t be taking to the field before January – unless United have a huge injury crisis.
This is a move that Manchester United fans have all wanted to see down the years. Bastian Schweinsteiger walking out at the Theatre of Dreams in our jersey. It’s just a real shame that it hasn’t worked out whatsoever.
