Manchester United dished out £25million to bring in Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin over the summer, and for the most part, it hasn’t gone exactly as planned for the 26-year old. Now, the man himself has spoken out about his time at Old Trafford – and he is far from satisfied.
“When I signed for Manchester, I wanted to play every game, be performing all the time, so I’m not totally satisfied. I’m not unhappy, I’m not happy, I’m in the middle. But this is my first year, I am confident that I will return very, very strong next season.” Schneiderlin is quoted as saying.
At the end of the day, Manchester United fans were expecting much more of Schneiderlin. At times the player himself hasn’t delivered, but alongside that, there have been games when he should have played, but Van Gaal decided to leave him on the bench.
What is clear however, is the fact that the Frenchman isn’t giving up on life at Old Trafford just yet, and he wants to come back next season and dramatically improve on what he has done this year.
When joining a club like Manchester United, it isn’t always easy to adapt and settle in straight away. Perhaps that is the case here, as we all know just how much of a commanding presence Morgan Schneiderlin was whilst at Southampton.
