Man Utd’s 26-year-old could well leave Old Trafford permanently this summer – report

Manchester United’s incoming transfer business is all done and dusted. Jose Mourinho has made some huge signings to significantly improve our starting line-up and squad as a whole, and now it’s up to him to trim down the size of the team.

One man who could well be on his way out of Old Trafford is Italian full-back, Matteo Darmian. The 26-year-old is being targeted by three Italian clubs if reports are to be believed.

Darmian only joined United just twelve months ago, and made a real positive start to life at his new club. However, as the season went on, his performance level dipped massively and he found himself displaced in the team.

It looks as though Jose Mourinho isn’t convinced by his abilities either, despite the fact he can play at both right-back and left-back. Those slots have been completely locked down by a rejuvenated Antonio Valencia and a returning Luke Shaw.
