Manchester United are closing in on a dael for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but that move may not be the first summer signing the club make. According to AS, via the usually reliable Guillem Balague, Manchester United have already agreed a deal to bring in Eric Bailly.
Bailly, 22, currently plays his football for Villareal, and has made a real impression for the Spanish club this season.
The Ivorian’s name hasn’t really been mentioned in the media until now, which shows that Edward Woodward is doing a much better job in terms of keeping our transfer targets on the down-low.

In terms of his style of play, Eric Bailly is a no-nonsense centre-back. The €40m (£32million) fee seems quite steep, but for a man of his age you are paying for potential and plenty of years of service.
Perhaps the one concern is the fact that he is young, and defenders don’t usually mature until later on in their careers. It feels as though we don’t really have that many young centre-backs on our books at the moment, and I’d much prefer a more experienced option.
