Manchester United agree deal to sell star for £22million, medical possibly set for today

Manchester United Football Club could be on the verge of sealing an outgoing deal for one of their big-money stars. Morgan Schneiderlin is close to agreeing a deal that will see him link up with former manager Ronald Koeman at Everton, according to the usually reliable Telegraph newspaper.

The report says that a move could be finalised within the next 48 hours, with the Frenchman clearly intent on ending his Old Trafford nightmare, that obviously hasn’t gone to plan.

Shortly after this article, reliable guys like Paul Hirst of the BBC and Stuart Mathieson weighed in, with the latter even saying that a medical could be pencilled in for today.

Check out Paul Hirst’s tweet here:

He then followed that up with this:

Then Manchester Evening News journalist Stuart Mathieson weighed in, and he said that his medical at Everton would probably be tomorrow.

These two are both very reputable journalists, and I highly doubt that they would put their necks on the line regarding this transfer if they didn’t fully trust in the source of the information. So I’d probably suggest that this move is pretty much done going off this news.

At the end of the day, it just hasn’t been anywhere near good enough from Morgan Schneiderlin. We’ve witnessed just how capable of a player he is from his time at Southampton, but perhaps the size and stature of United has been too much for him.

Credit has to go to the board for getting such good money for him as well, £22million plus a further £2million in add-ons is very good, and hopefully, that’ll be available for Jose to invest back into the playing squad if he chooses to do so.
