Manchester United are on alert, as Bayern Munich are ready to cash in on either Arturo Vidal or Thiago Alcantara in the summer, according to Kicker, translated by The Sun.
Apparently, the Bavarian giants are ready to offload one of the aforementioned players, following the signing of Leon Goretzka. That’ll be interesting to Jose Mourinho, who’s been linked with making a move for Vidal in the summer.
It’s like buses, you wait for one for ages and then two come along at once. United hadn’t had a Chilean play for the first-team in their history, that’s until Alexis Sanchez made his debut against Yeovil Town. Now this interest in Vidal could see two Chile internationals signed within six months.
Bringing in Vidal would be a huge coup. Michael Carrick is hanging up his boots at the end of the season and Marouane Fellaini hasn’t put pen to paper on a new deal yet, so at least one midfielder will have to be signed.
The move makes even more sense when you factor in that Vidal has played with Paul Pogba previously, and our French star has been crying out for a bit of extra help in the middle of the park.
