Manchester United Football Club looks set to face transfer disappointment for the second time of the summer. Earlier on in the month, we learnt that Antoine Griezmann was to reject a move to the Theatre of Dreams, staying at Atletico Madrid following their transfer ban.

Now, the usually reliable James Ducker, who writes for The Guardian is saying that Jose Mourinho is set to miss out on the signature of Ivan Perisic, despite the fact that the Old Trafford club have been chasing his signature quite heavily.

The report says that United were trying to sign the 28-year-old for a knockdown fee as Inter Milan were struggling to meet FFP regulations, but now, they are narrowly expected to pass FFP without having to sell the Croatia international.

Inter were reportedly willing to sell Perisic for around £44million, but United haven’t upped their offer from the £32million offer that was made a couple of weeks ago.

To me, our transfer window has been a rather dull one thus far, with not much productivity outside the Victor Lindelof transfer. It seems like Edward Woodward is struggling to get moves over the line at the moment, and he better start acting quickly to get stuff done before our pre-season tour kicks off in a couple of weeks.
