Manchester United Football Club reportedly tried to sign West Ham’s Reece Oxford last summer, and they may try to bid for him again in this window, claim the Manchester Evening News. The 17-year old burst onto the scene at the start of this season for West Ham.

At 17, Oxford is highly regarded as one of the hottest prospects to come out of the famed West Ham academy, and that has led to a whole host of the so-called bigger clubs looking at the possibility of signing him. With United at the front of the queue.

Manchester United have this long history of bringing in and developing youngsters, and turning them into the world class players, so if its not broken, why fix it? Reece Oxford would be another good addition to a talented group of lads that include Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Anthony Martial.

He’d certainly cost a pretty penny though, and West Ham would obviously be reluctant to sell.
