Manchester United’s squad is already looking a whole lot different under Jose Mourinho, with the club hoping for a title push this term. The new man at the helm isn’t afraid of making big changes in terms of ideas and styles, and for now, the youth policy is clearly on hold.
Adnan Januzaj has already left Old Trafford on loan, and according to the Manchester Evening News, United are trying to persuade Andreas Pereira to follow him out of the club on a short-term basis.
Januzaj was convinced by Jose that he has a future at the club, and Mourinho is trying to do the same with Brazilian Pereira. He’s only 20, and the frontrunners to take him at this point in time is Middlesbrough, although he is also wanted by clubs in both Holland and Spain.
Whilst you do understand the hype around Pereira, I just don’t see him ever making it at Manchester United. He’s talented, yes, but does he stand out? Probably not.
