Manchester United Football Club will certainly be looking to reinforce the squad come January, with Louis van Gaal eyeing several players who could potentially send the Old Trafford club to a second half of the season title charge. However one man who won’t make the move mid-season is Riyad Mahrez.
The Daily Mail say that Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation of the Algerian winger, but Leicester City are intent that the side will not let him go in the middle of the season.
Mahrez, 24, has been one of the revelations of the Premier League so far this term, scoring a bucketload of goals whilst laying plenty on for the likes of Jamie Vardy – this has meant the Foxes have now soared to the top of the table.
Whilst their intentions to keep Mahrez are clear, they may be forced into selling him come next summer as they’ll be offered astronomical fees from some of the worlds best clubs, which may be too tricky to turn down.
