Manchester United closing in on £12million deal for striker

Manchester United have had real trouble scoring goals this season, particularly at Old Trafford. Louis van Gaal is clearly trying to change that by bringing in a new striker in the middle of the season, and the latest name to be linked with a move is Yoshinori Muto, who plays his football for FSV Mainz 05 in Germany.

The Daily Mirror say that Manchester United are closing in on a £12million deal to bring the Japan international to Manchester during this transfer window, after some impressive early season displays in the Bundesliga.

Muto, 23, has been dubbed the ‘Japanese Messi’ by media in his homeland, having scored seven goals in fourteen league games so far this term. His style of play mimics that of the world class Argentinian Messi, and if he goes on to have even half of a successful career that the little wizard has, we could well be getting a gem of a player.
