Manchester United club legend criticises Anthony Martial

Manchester United slumped to a 0-0 draw at home to PSV Eindhoven last night, with Louis van Gaal’s side now struggling in terms of qualification. A win here was a must, but unfortunately the team weren’t anywhere near good enough on the night to secure all three points.

One club legend was highly critical of the whole team, but one man he singled out for particular criticism was Anthony Martial.

“As a centre forward all you should live for is to score goals – and he doesn’t look like that to me.” Scholes said when asked about the young Frenchman.

It seems like Paul Scholes was extremely quiet in his playing days, but as a pundit its hard to keep his lips shut. There has been plenty of arguments with Louis van Gaal, and now his attentions have turned to the players on the pitch.

Since his arrival, Martial has been a massive figure for Manchester United. Yes, he has chipped in with a few goals, but his all-round game has been absolutely superb and he has been a joy to watch.
