Manchester United made one of the most astute signings of the summer, bringing in the little-known Matteo Darmian in from Torino, in a deal worth £12million. The Italian made a great impact at Old Trafford in his first few months, but has gone off the boil recently.
That has led to somewhat bizarre reports about his future, with both the Daily Express, and Calcio Gazzetta saying that Juventus are interested in signing the 26-year old on a deal in the middle of the season.
The reports say that senior Juventus officials have already flown into England to discuss the possibility of bringing the Italian back to his homeland, but when you factor in the deal is only thought to be worth around €15million, you find it difficult to believe.
It would be daft if we let him go after such a short period of time. Its not as if he’s been bad for us either, personally I feel he has been extremely solid and he’ll only improve.
