Manchester United could still lose David de Gea this summer when transfer window opens

Manchester United Football Club somehow managed to keep hold of David de Gea over the summer, largely thanks to a dodgy fax machine and the fact that Real Madrid left it right until the last moment to make their move for the world class Spaniard.

However, as you’d expect, Real Madrid haven’t given up on landing their man, and are ready to come back in for the 25-year old this summer. The news comes from the Spanish media outlet AS, who say that despite Keylor Navas’ fantastic performances, Real Madrid will still try to bring in De Gea.

They say that Madrid ‘feel indebted’ to land David de Gea after the failed move over the summer, and are ready to make things right regarding the whole situation.

David de Gea is without doubt our only world class player, and if we lost him this summer then we’d certainly be in a worse place than what we are in now. The fact that we have tied him down to a long-term contract certainly puts the ball in our court, but it would be an absolute disaster if he were to leave.
