Manchester United dealt blow as versatile man missing for derby

Manchester United’s biggest game of the season so far takes place this Sunday, with Louis van Gaal’s side taking on their fierce rivals Manchester City in the first derby of the season at Old Trafford. Three points here would be absolutely huge.

Ahead of the game Louis van Gaal met the media for his routine pre-match press conference, and the Dutchman had a major blow to tell us about.

Ashley Young will miss the game with an injury that has kept him out of action for the last two games despite being back in training. It looks as though the derby has come just too soon for him which is a real shame, and hopefully he can keep working hard and get himself back fit ahead of a hectic winter schedule ahead.

Louis van Gaal is a big fan of Ashley Young’s, and that is without doubt down to his versatility, so as soon as he is ready to go I would expect to see him back in the line-up.
