Manchester United’s move for Paul Pogba could be in jeopardy according to the latest reports. The Manchester Evening News say that the talented Frenchman would prefer a move to Real Madrid, instead of a return to Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old midfielder is believed to prefer a stay at Juventus over a reunion with some of his former Manchester United teammates, which is hugely disappointing.
You do understand where he is coming from, though. Manchester United don’t have Champions League football on offer at the moment, and the last few seasons haven’t really been anything to shout out about.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, wants his client to move to United during this window as he believes if he spends three years at the Theatre of Dreams, it’d open the door up to a move to Real Madrid when the time is right.
During the European Championships, Pogba’s performances have certainly been less than impressive. However, we have all seen just how capable he is when playing at the top of his game.
