Manchester United dealt second injury boost ahead of Manchester derby

Manchester United have been dealt their second piece of good news this morning, with Manchester City suffering two major injury blows ahead of the derby at the end of the month. On Thursday Sergio Aguero suffered a hamstring injury that’ll keep him sidelined for a month.

Now the Spanish newspaper AS claim that David Silva is a major doubt for the Manchester clash on 25th October, due to a ‘strong’ ankle sprain. The midfield maestro has been at the heart of everything good for Pellegrini’s men to start this season off, and that’d be a huge loss to them.

Hopefully Manchester United can go into the game with a fresh team, without injuries of their own. Bastian Schweinsteiger did pick up a knock whilst in Germany training but he should be ready to go when United take on Everton in one week’s time.
