Manchester United defender in hospital for third night following injury

Manchester United will certainly be without the services of the young defender Paddy McNair for their game against Everton this weekend, after the North Ireland international spent his third night in hospital last night following injury.

The injury he suffered didn’t stop him from finishing the game on Sunday, and won’t fly back from Finland until later today at the very earliest.

Rib injuries can be quite serious, and you’d imagine that the hospital are keeping him in as a precaution rather than any long-term damage being suffered. However its always better to be safe than sorry and not run the risk of doing further damage to the affected area.

McNair has found his chances extremely limited thus far this season, and this injury certainly won’t help the 20-year old out, but he has a good mentality and hopefully he can return to Manchester before their next Champions League group game in a weeks time.
