Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated FA Cup final tomorrow night, we’ve been given some early team news by the usually reliable James Ducker. He has stated that both Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo will return to the starting line-up.
He also adds that both Jesse Lingard and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will be the unlucky pair to miss out – which must be mightily frustrating for both.
In terms of the left-back slot, Borthwick-Jackson can count himself extremely unlucky as he has been in brilliant form recently – in stark contrast to Marcos Rojo who has been nothing short of woeful.
Jesse Lingard has been putting in some below par performances for a while now, and with Marouane Fellaini back and available from his ban, it was always looking like Lingard or Mata that was going to miss out.
Onto the game itself, its going to be a much tighter affair than large sections of the United fanbase reckon. Palace are a threatening team on the counter, with the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie. So the players have to be switched on from the first whistle.
