Manchester United Football Club have just made some astute pieces of business, if the latest news coming out of the Daily Telegraph are to be believed. In an exclusive, they say that the out-of-contract forward Marcus Rashford has agreed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.

They go on to add that the new weekly wage for Rashford is believed to be around £20,000-a-week plus bonuses, and the club will announce the deal before the European Championships get underway on June 10th.

To add to that, the Telegraph believe that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is also closing in on a new contract, and he himself is on the verge of putting pen to paper. Although no details about his new contract have been released.

This is great news where both players are concerned. Manchester United have a long-standing tradition of promoting youth, and it would be brilliant if Jose Mourinho continues those beliefs as we get ready for the new season.
