Manchester United enquire about bringing in Brazilian full-back this summer

Manchester United Football Club brought in Matteo Darmian as the first-choice right-back over the summer, but Louis van Gaal looks set to delve into that area of the field again if the latest reports coming out of Goal Brazil are to be believed.

They say that Manchester United have made an enquiry about the possibility of bringing in Dani Alves when the summer transfer window opens, with Barcelona looking to move the player on due to his hefty wages.

The experienced 32-year old has been at FC Barcelona for years now, and has without doubt been one of the most consistent full-backs in the world. United’s defence is an area that has needed experience and leadership in for quite some time.

Alves would certainly bring in leadership qualities, as well as providing a real attacking threat from the right-back position.
