It has been a whirlwind six or so months for Manchester United’s man of the moment Marcus Rashford, with the 19-year-old rising right to the top of the pile in such a short space of time. Now, concerns are growing about the fitness and wellbeing of the man from Wythenshawe.
Reports suggest that the coaching staff and club officials fear that Marcus Rashford has been hit with growing pains, and is suffering from burnout. That has become clear over recent weeks, as the levels of his tiredness has increased since the international break.
At the back end of last season, and the start of this, Rashford looked tireless and full of running. However, since the international break it looks as though things have somewhat caught up on him, and he does look extremely fatigued. Perhaps the best thing for him at this point in time is a couple of games rest.
These issues haven’t stopped Manchester United taking Rashford to Turkey however, with the 19-year-old named amongst a 21-man squad who take on Fenerbahce in the Europa League tomorrow.
