Manchester United finally sealed a move for Paul Pogba earlier on in the week, as the fans got rather excited about potentially seeing their new man in action this weekend. However, that will not happen, as the FA confirmed that Paul Pogba will serve a one-match suspension.
The 23-year-old midfielder’s ban comes from his time at Juventus. He picked up two yellow cards throughout the duration of the Copa Italia, which carries over to English football (apparently).
That means the fans will have to wait another week to see the midfielder take to the turf in the colours of Manchester United. But, in all honesty, that’s probably not a bad thing at all.
It gives the £89million man an extra weeks worth of training which can only be a good thing. It also decreases the risk of picking up an injury, because he hasn’t kicked a ball since the European Championship final over five weeks ago.
Jose Mourinho will now have to tinker his team slightly if he was thinking about playing Pogba from the off, but United should still have enough to overcome Bournemouth this coming Sunday.

How on earth can a ban from Italy be carried over to England. That is just farcical! Pogba won’t play anyway but that’s not the point.
