Earlier today, Manchester United officially announced that the club would unveil their brand new 2016/17 away kit on the 11th May – much earlier than in years gone by. We may even see the kit being debuted this season, with whispers suggesting it could be on show against Bournemouth.
Whilst it took us as quite a surprise that we can in fact purchase next season’s kit already, many fans weren’t at all happy with how the design looks as you can see from plenty of fans’ tweets below.

I said it in 2015… With United, Real, Juve, Milan and Bayern sharing the same kit producer as us, we’re gonna get the half-assed kits.

Yet another United away kit that would be better as a training kit. Happens at least once a year

Its fair to say that the majority of United’s fans aren’t really thrilled by the prospect of a blue away kit. Personally though, I like it. It feels like a throwback to the jersey of the 1968 season in which we won our first European Cup.
At the end of the day its just a kit, and whats more important is the way the lads perform on the field. Hopefully that picks up dramatically next season.
