Rom, Rom, Romelu, Romelu Lukaku! The Manchester United fans sung, as their Belgian striker scored his 100th Premier League goal during the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Swansea City.
It was a game that the hosts controlled from the get-go, and there wasn’t even five minutes on the clock when Lukaku got the scoring underway. It was a typical headed effort from the big man, who celebrated his ton in front of the Old Trafford faithful.

Since day one, Lukaku has given absolutely everything for Manchester United, and you simply have to love him for that. Goals, assists, work-rate and sheer effort, the big man has it all.
To score 100 goals in the most competitive league in the world is a seriously good achievement. Doing it as the fifth youngest deserves huge credit, too (behind Owen, Fowler, Kane and Rooney).
His 26-goal tally for the season is mightily impressive in itself, and if he can reach that 30-goal mark across all competitions, it’ll be a massive confidence-booster for a player who is desperate to win it all here.
We’re genuinely lucky to have him, and to be able to call him one of our own is an absolute privilege. As you’d imagine, Twitter was awash with happy reds, buzzing for their star striker.

Thought Lukaku was excellent again today. Had a rough patch in the middle of the season but has been great for a few months now, following on from his brilliant start. Dead chuffed for him. So much more to his game than just goals.

A reminder that Lukaku was once labelled ‘overrated’, ‘a £75m fraud’, ‘a donkey’ and compared to Morata and Lacazette. Morata and Lacazette combined have 22 goals in all competitions, Lukaku has 26 goals alone in all competitions.

After every Lukaku goal I'm going to remind you lot that Arsenal fans said Lacazette is better.

I'd be betraying my image if I didn't tell you that Romelu Lukaku has now scored 100 Premier League goals. At the age of 24.

Lukaku’s 100 goals by numbers:
53 – Left foot
26 – Right foot
21 – Head
