Manchester United Football Club were dumped out of the Champions League in horrendous fashion, with Louis van Gaal’s side losing 3-2 away at Wolfsburg. The Iron Tulip’s side will now play in the Europa League come the turn of the year.
The performance as a whole wasn’t the worst we’ve seen from United, and under normal circumstances the display wouldn’t be criticised anywhere near as often.
As you’d expect, Manchester United fans were out in full force over Twitter, with some even calling for the managers head. It feels as though this could be the turning point for many of the ‘Louis van Gaal in’ crew, particularly as we’ll now be playing Thursday-Sunday games come February when the Europa League starts up again…
