Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has been struggling for form to start off the season. The 29-year old has looked bereft of confidence, rusty, unfit and finding it hard to complete the simplest of passes, but he looked like the old Wayne Rooney for England last night.
His touch was on-point, his passing looked sharp and he also looked good in front of goal. He made a great move on Laurent Koscielny early doors, and took his goal wonderfully in the second half.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for United, and as you’d expect the Old Trafford faithful were all over Twitter full of praise for the England record holder.
