Manchester United Football Club piled the pressure on both Manchester City and Liverpool with a hard-fought victory away at Burnley this Sunday. The Red Devils were outstanding throughout, and more than deserved the 2-0 victory.
To my pleasant surprise, Anthony Martial was handed a rare start in the main striker spot, and my did he live up to expectations. The 21-year-old played excellently from minute one, and we saw a glimpse of that raw talent he displayed so often last season.
Martial opened the scoring as he led a wonderfully crafted counter-attack out from in his own half, before getting on the end of an Ander Herrera cross and finishing with aplomb.
It really was an outstanding all-round display, and it definitely feels like Jose Mourinho now has another guy he can trust in a time of need. Right now, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic out injured, the manager needs all the bodies he can get and we all know how talented of a player Martial is. Hopefully, this is the start of a rejuvenation of sorts, and he can become a regular fixture from now until the end of the season.

Genius from Martial. Man United on the counter attack. I love that. Herrera assist too. YANITED

Yes Martial! Quality, counter attacking goal.
And one, dare I say, that wouldn't have happened had Ibra been up top.

Superb, nobody needed a goal more. Martial at his best

And that is why I wanted him to play Martial.

I know Martial had a good game today but Rashford has to start up front vs City. Mkhitaryan has to come in as well
